What is barn-dried firewood?
Barn-dried firewood is wood that has been naturally seasoned in a barn, allowing air circulation to reduce moisture content over time. Unlike kiln-dried logs, which are processed in industrial ovens, barn-dried wood retains its natural character and produces a cleaner, more traditional burn.
What's in the builder's bag?
Each bag contains a hand-selected mix of hardwoods (such as Ash, Oak, or Beech) and softwoods. The hardwoods provide a slow, long-lasting heat while the softwoods help you get the fire started quickly. All logs are barn-dried and ready to burn.
How much wood is in a builder's bag?
A builder's bag (also known as a dumpy bag or bulk bag) holds approximately 0.7 cubic metres of logs. It's a substantial delivery - enough to keep most households going for several weeks during the colder months.
Where do you deliver?
We offer free delivery within 2 miles of Nantwich town centre, covering areas including Stapeley, Willaston, Wistaston, and parts of Crewe. If you're unsure whether you're in the delivery area, get in touch before ordering and we'll confirm.
How quickly will my logs be delivered?
We aim to deliver within 48 hours of your order. Many customers receive their logs the following morning. You'll be contacted to arrange a convenient delivery window.
Where will the logs be dropped?
We drop the bag as close to your log store or preferred spot as access allows. No heavy lifting required on your part - just let us know where you'd like it when we get in touch.
Can I order more than one bag?
Yes - use the quantity selector on the product page to add multiple bags to your order. Bulk orders are welcome.

Excellent service. I ordered online at 7pm and the logs were delivered before 9 am the next morning. I asked for them to be dropped as close to the log store as possible to save moving them up the drive and the full builders bag was dropped right next to the log store. 2nd order and logs were great snd good price as well.
